Vancouver in a series of waterproof and tear-resistant pocket street maps with their handy 10x10cm format cleverly concealing a collection of plans and road maps, plus a wealth of tourist information.
On one side is a street plan at 1:21,800 approx., covering central part of the city and North Vancouver. The plan highlights main public buildings, places of interest and many hotels, and shows SkyTrain stations and ferry terminals. An enlargement shows Granville Island in greater detail. The index lists only main streets. Also included is a diagram of the SkyTrain and rail network.
On the reverse is a plan at 1:121,150 approx., showing access to the international airport and to the northern shore of the Burrand Inlet as far as Horseshoe Bay. A small map shows a wider area around the city, including the southern part of Vancouver Island, Whistler and Seattle, with a street plan of central Victoria.
Two illustrated panels have descriptions of main sites in the city, and further panels provide information on the city’s history and its main districts, listings of museums and galleries, historic places and other sights, festivals, etc.
