Join us for this talk with Richard Mabey - a prize-winning writer and botanist described by The Times as 'Britain's greatest living nature writer'. Highly praised for his poetic style and challenging ideas, he has written a monthly column for BBC Wildlife Magazine for over 25 years and is the author of several books on nature and food, including Food for Free, Wild Cooking and Flora Britannica: The Definitive New Guide to Britain's Wild Flowers.
A Brush With Nature is a personal collection of Richard's favourite pieces and is part memoir, part nature journal, part social history, giving us a unique insight into a nature lover's reflections over a quarter of a century and peppered throughout with references to the heritage of other nature writers from Gilbert White to Roger Deakin.
