Travel guidebook publishers Footprint are returning to their much-missed hardback covers for their legendary handbooks.
The new, 2009 editions of their top destination guides are being released with hardback covers, after a period of five years when they were printed in paperback. The guides will be much more durable on your travels, with less risk of dog-eared pages and broken spines, yet are surprisingly lightweight.
Footprint in fact approached Stanfords for our respected and expert opinion on whether they should indeed make this move back to the hardback format, and we think you’ll agree that it’s a footstep in the right direction…
So far, the 2009 Handbooks published in hardback covers now available are South America, South Africa, Mexico and Central America and India, and the others are coming in over the next month.
